2025 Wilbur Overlay & Preservation and Almira Citywide Maintenance Projects Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by cash, a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond, payable to the Town of Wilbur, in an amount not less than five percent(5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of the contract price. The project generally consists of the following work: Base Bid Schedule A (Wilbur): Work generally consists of crack sealing, pavement repair, approximately 12,000 SY of HMA overlay, 2,700 SY of pavement grinding, 21 concrete sidewalk curb ramps, pavement markings, and related work. Base Bid Schedule B (Almira): Work generally consists of crack sealing and minor pavement repair throughout the Town. Thirty-Five (35) working days will be allowed to complete the Base Bid work. The work contemplated under this Contract includes all labor, tools, machinery, materials, transportation, equipment and services necessary for, and reasonably incidental to, the completion of all work in connection with the project described in the Contract Documents. This Work shall consist of providing and placing one or more layers of plant-mixed hot mix asphalt (HMA) on a prepared foundation or base in accordance with these Specifications and the lines, grades, thicknesses, and typical cross-sections shown in the Plans. The manufacture of HMA may include warm mix asphalt (WMA) processes in accordance with these Specifications. WMA processes include organic additives, chemical additives, and foaming. HMA shall be composed of asphalt binder and mineral materials as may be required, mixed in the proportions specified to provide a homogeneous, stable, and workable mixture.
