Question Deadline 07/21/2025 at 3:00 PM ET QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY (See "Questions From Offerors" provision) SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO: aroberts@horrycountyschools.net Construction Cost Range: 100000 SCOPE OF WORK: It is the intent of the Horry County School District (HCSD) Office of Procurement to solicit offers from qualified vendors to drill a new irrigation well, install new pump, and cap two older wells on District Office property in accordance with all requirements stated herein. The specifications cover services to furnish all labor, materials, permits and equipment necessary to provide the services requested. A well assessment was performed, suggesting that either a low water level in the well or a deteriorating pump could be the cause. The current irrigation well is under powerlines and the Central Grounds would like a new well installed away from the powerlines. Specifications: 1. Contractor will provide all necessary electrical equipment between the pump control system and the well pump motor to ensure pump operates within the manufacturer's guidelines. Anticipated flow range between 20GPM and 65GPM. Electricity will be made available by HCS at the location noted in Appendix A. A 7.5HP 230V Danfoss Variable Frequency Drive with Nema 12 Enclosure and pressure transducer (or HCS approved equivalent) shall be provided by contractor. 2. Well and pump system shall provide a minimum of 65GPM at a discharge pressure of 70PSI at the top of the well head. New pump to be installed on Certa-Lok drop pipe with bronze check valve above the pump end. The contractor must include all cable guards, safety rope, etc., as needed for a complete, professional installation. Finish well with center line of discharge tee 24" (inches) above finished grade. The Well is to be test pumped at 65GPM for a minimum of eight hours to ensure consistent water supply to the irrigation system. 3. Vendor will provide all necessary electrical equipment between the pump control system and the well pump motor to ensure pump operates within the manufacturer's guidelines. The new well must be relocated so the overhead power lines do not interfere with the future removal of the pump pipe. 6. HCSD shall not accept used or reconditioned parts/equipment. Items must be new. 7. For bidding purposes: a. Assume a well dept of 350 feet. Provide unit cost per linear feet for well depth less than or up to 350 feet base bid depth. b. Assume a pump set depth of 220 feet. Provide unit cost for linear foot for pump discharge pipe and power wire less than or up to 220 feet. c. Install well screen of sufficient size and type to allow required flow to ensure no granular material will be pumped out of d. Develop well to ensure all debris in the well is properly contained and removed when the project is completed. 8. Bid only as specified. No alternates will be accepted.
