Bids not inclusive of a completed W-9 may not be considered. Two years from the date of contract execution with an option for three (3) annual renewals. This solicitation will also have the option to award to multiple suppliers. The M/WBE goal established for this project is 10% All work shall conform to the latest edition of the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission Regional Construction Standards (HRPDC Regional Standards) as amended by the City of Portsmouth Special Provisions and supplemented by the specifications and details contained herein. DETAIL REQUIREMENTS: Thermoplastic Materials shall conform to Section 704 of HRPDC Regional Standards for thermoplastic (Type B, Class I for both asphalt and concrete) pavement applications. All materials used shall be lead free. Crosswalks Crosswalks shall be in accordance with the attached detail for "Continental" style crosswalks. Note the unit price shall be based on an eight foot (8') crosswalk. Stop Bars The following criteria apply to stop bars: a) Stop bars (solid white lines that are 24 inches wide) will completely traverse all traffic lanesto each approach atsignalized intersections or at approaches with STOP sign control to major arterial roadways. b) Stop bars will be installed at a minimum of five (5) feet ahead of the crosswalk, unless otherwise specified on the plans. Bike Lane Markings: The following criteria apply to bike lane markings: a) "Shared Lane Marking" (Sharrows): This shall be used as Per MUTCD 2009 edition Section 9C.07 Figure 9C-9. b) Additional Shared Lane Directional Marking (White): This shall consist of only the directional white marking as per MUTCD 2009 edition Section 9C.07. c) Markings for bike lanes shall be per MUTCD 2009 edition Section 9C.04, Figure 9C-3, ABike Symbol. Glass Beads Materials shall conform to Section 704 of the HRPDC Regional Standards. Pavement Marking Patterned Performed Tape Material shall conform to Section 704 of the HRPDC Regional Standards. Paint Material shall conform to 3M(TM) All Weather Paint, or approved equal. Paint shall be applied per manufactures specifications. Snow- Plowable Raised Pavement Markers Pavement markers shall conform to Section 704 of the HRPDC Regional Standards. Material Acceptance Contractor shall furnish certification of materials used and certification that the project was constructed according to contract requirements. The certification shall consist of a summary showing the kind and quantity of materials. This certification shall be provided for work units accomplished at the time of invoicing for final payment. The Contractor shall preserve for inspection by the City of Portsmouth invoices and records of the materials utilized in the work until such time as final acceptance and payment is made under this contract.
