The Town of Hartford is requesting bids for the provision of aggregate products. This bid should address the period from July, 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Scope of Services The bids shall include the supply of the noted aggregate products. The Town of Hartford reserves the right to request sieve analysis of the materials. Bids must also include a commitment to provide up to 120% of the estimate tonnage. Other than for winter sand, bid shall include a cost for provision of aggregate material at the supplier’s site. • Winter Sand - Supply and delivery in the fall and winter of 2025- 2026 of approximately 5,800 cubic yards of winter sand/super grit to two stockpile areas, one to the Town of Hartford Public Works Facility and the other at Quechee Wastewater Facility. The winter sand will comply with the following VAOT / AASHTO specification: Sieve Designation % by weight passing square mesh sieve 1/2 100 No. 4 60 - 100 No. 100 0 - 20 No. 200 0 - 8 • 3/4" Stone - Supply, at supplier's site, of approximately 500 tons of material complying with VAOT Standard Specification 704.06A. • 1 1/2 " Stone - Supply, at supplier's site, of approximately 500tons of material complying with VAOT Standard Specification 704.06A. • Bank Run Gravel - Supply, at supplier's site, of approximately 200 tons of material complying with VAOT Standard Specification 704.04. • Rip-rap - Supply, at supplier's site, of approximately 1,000 tons of material complying with VAOT Standard Specification 706.03 (Light Type). • Supply, at supplier's site, of approximately 16,000 tons of material commonly known as "Hard Pack" or “Twin Pak”. Limitations of Liability The Town of Hartford assumes no responsibility and no liability for costs incurred by the proposer in responding to the Request for Bid or in responding to any further request for interviews, additional data, etc. prior to issuance of a contract. Insurance Contractor must maintain and provide proof of Workers Compensation, Comprehensive General Liability Insurance, Automobile Liability Insurance and Property Damage Insurance (minimum of $2,000,000 aggregate, $1,000,000 per occurrence). The Town of Hartford is to be named as certificate holder. The contractor agrees to hold harmless, indemnify and defend the Town of Hartford for all liability arising out of the project, except that arising out of the sole negligence of the Town of Hartford. Rejection of Bids The Town of Hartford reserves the right to reject any of all bids or to award contracts in whole or in part if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town.
