Site work and renovation of a road / highway in Leesburg, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for the renovation of a road / highway.
This project provides for the design and construction of roadway and sidewalk improvements on Valley View Avenue. Through traffic on Valley View Avenue has been blocked by barricades since the street was extended north as part of the Crestwood Hamlet development during the 1970s. Since that time, the need for the interconnection has increased with the growth in population in Leesburg. This need will be increased by the construction of the White Oak development at the old Rogers Farm site. Opening the street to through traffic will improve interconnectivity between residential communities and will improve access by emergency vehicles and Town services. This project is included in the Town of Leesburg 2026-2031 CIP. As of June 23, 2025, there is no funding for this project until FY2031.
