Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Beloit, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project consists of the replacement of Mitchell County Bridge Number J7W, located 2.4 Miles East and 1.5 Miles South of Beloit. The proposed bridge is a 30'-40'-30' RCSH Bridge with 24'-0" Roadway. All bidders must be prequalified with the Kansas Department of Transportation for the type and amount of work covered under this contract. A bid deposit in the form of certified check on a solvent Kansas bank or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to five percent of the total bid price must accompany the bid. Bidders shall direct all questions concerning the plans and contract documents to Schwab Eaton. Bidders will be required to furnish their proposed start date in the Proposal to begin construction. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 30 days after the date of the opening of bids. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish performance and statutory bonds acceptable to Mitchell County, each in the amount of the total contract price in conformity with the requirements of the contract documents. Goals for minority participation for each trade: 3.0% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% The Notice to Proceed will not be issued until Fall of 2025. The early start date is anticipated no earlier than August 4, 2025, or as soon as contracts are approved and right-of-way is acquired, and a late start date of March 9, 2026. The right is reserved by the County to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality therein, to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the County and to approve the bonds.
