Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Scope of Work items which have inadvertently been duplicated in more than one bid package must be included in the bid amount for each package containing the duplication. Do not assume Scope of Work items will be provided by the other bid package(s). Notify the Construction Manager immediately upon discovery of a duplicated item. Should the Construction Manager request a credit for the duplicated item after the bid, claims of omission of pricing in the bid due to the duplicate item in another bid package will not be acceptable. All answers will be published by written Addendum. The RFI submission deadline is five (5) business days prior to the bid due date at time. Downes Construction Company, LLC acting as Construction Manager on behalf of the Providence Public Building Authority of Providence, Rhode Island will receive sealed bids or the individual bid packages identified in the Contract Documents and as indicated below for the Providence DPW Complex bid packages: General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bid Bond - 10 % - Performance Bond - 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond - 100 % - Payment Bond - 100 % Liquidated damages are provided for in the Prime Contract and shall be assessed against the Subcontractor to the extent caused by the Subcontractor or any person or entity for whose acts the Subcontractor may be liable. Refer to the prime contract for additional information. Downes Construction Company, LLC is the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) on behalf of the City of Providence and the Providence Public Buildings Authority (PPBA) for the construction of the Providence DPW Complex on 20 Ernest Street Providence, RI 02905. The intent of this project is to deliver a new 40,431sf Fleet Maintenance Building for the DPW for the City of Providence, complying with LEED Requirements, constructing maintenance garage bays, storage, offices, locker rooms and partial site improvements such as the segmental retaining wall along the southeast site and proposed staff parking to the southwest. The architect for the project is Rowse Architects.
