Renovation of an educational facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In general, the work consists of: Modernizing two 8-stop passenger elevators in Hibbard Hall and one 4- stop passenger elevator in Schneider Hall. The controls, door operators, car enclosures, fixtures, counterweight guideshoes, platforms, safety equipment, tracks, and hangars will all be replaced and upgraded with modern, code compliant equipment. Provisions will also be made for these unites to be served by emergency power. The new main controllers will be microprocessor-based unites. Miscellaneous work includes fire alarm and smoke detection system upgrades and installation of elevator pit and hoistway lighting and GFI outlets as required for code compliance. Project work may also include equipment room and building infrastructure renovations to provide adequate ventilation and cooling capabilities to assure the elevator equipment can operate within the manufactures allowable temperature range. Upon completion of work, elevators are to be inspected and tested per Division of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) requirements. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
