Bids must be made on standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein required by the Specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of bidder and name of project on outside and addressed to the City of Bridgeton and must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said check need not be more than $20,000 nor shall not be less than $500 and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. Consent of Surety from an approved Surety Company must also be submitted with the Bid. Please be advised that any bidder who fails to submit a "Consent of Surety" with the bid can anticipate that the bid submitted will be automatically rejected. Pursuant to C57, Laws of 2004 (s1778) all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registered with the State and provide proof of that registration to the contracting agency before the contracting agency may enter in a contract with the business. Otherwise, the City of Bridgeton assumes no responsibility for delays in the mail or delivery service causing Bid to not be received at the designated place and time, as specified above.
