The City of North Adams, through its Department of Public Services (DPS), the Awarding Authority, is seeking bids from qualified contractors for roadway and associated infrastructure improvements for its MassWorks FY25 Sidewalk Improvements, which includes Hoosac Street, Blackinton Street, Montana Street, and Porter Street. The project is estimated to cost $1,100,000 and the total number of days to Final Completion is estimated to be ninety (90) days. Contractors must be pre-qualified by the Mass DOT's Highway Division under the category of Highway - Sidewalk and Curbing Class in order to be an eligible bidder. General bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all Alternates) and made payable to the City of North Adams. The lowest qualified and most responsible bidder shall be awarded the project subject to the availability of construction funding. The City of North Adams reserves the right to reject and or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No obviouslyun balanced bid will be considered in awarding this contract.
