Renovation of a military facility in Fort Stewart, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Provide all plant, materials, labor, equipment and perform all operations required to remove and replace 39 each HVAC compressors on 37 Buildings with new with the Land Dominance Center, Fort Stewart, GA. Installation shall include providing and installing new compressor, refrigerant, filter dryers, sight glasses and unit capacitors on each associated unit. Provide all plant, materials, labor, equipment and perform all operations required to remove and replace 39 each HVAC compressors on 37 Buildings with new with the Land Dominance Center, Fort Stewart, GA. Installation shall include providing and installing new compressor, refrigerant, filter dryers, sight glasses and unit capacitors on each associated unit. The work described hereafter shall be accomplished by a licensed HVAC contractor within the State of Georgia. The equipment's electrical disconnect means (serving the condenser units) are located within 5' and visible from each condenser. There are no ACM materials to be encountered during subject construction. Work shall include but not be limited to the Demolition Work (each condenser): (1) Shut Down the System. Before starting any work, ensure the AC unit is completely de-energized by turning off the power at the electrical disconnect. Install lock-out/tag-out device to prevent accidental reactivation. (2) Use a refrigerant recovery machine to safely remove and recover the refrigerant from the system. Refrigerant must not be released into the environment. (3) Disconnect the electrical connections. Unwire the compressor and mark or tape the wires for future reference. (4) Disconnect Refrigerant Lines. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the compressor using appropriate tools. Cap the line to prevent contamination. (5) Remove and replace the in-line filter dryer and/or replace/install sight glasses on each unit with new of equal capacity. (6) Remove and replace unit capacitor with new of equal capacity. (7) Remove the old compressor. Carefully lift the old compressor from the unit to eliminate damage to the condenser coils. b. New Work (each condenser): (1) Prepare/Provide the New HVAC Condenser Compressor. Attach any necessary footings or inserts to the new compressor. Ensure the new compressor is compatible with the system to which it's being installed. (2) Evacuate the System. Apply a vacuum to the A/C System to remove air and moisture from the system. (3) Install/Provide the New Compressor. Position the new compressor in place, align it with the mounting points. (4) Connect Refrigerant Lines. Reconnect the refrigerant lines to the new compressor, using new seals and O-rings to prevent leaks. (5) Reconnect Electrical Connections to the compressor terminals. (6) Provide/Install New Capacitor, Sight Glass and Filter Dryer. (7) Pull a vacuum on the sealed system. (8) Recharge/Provide Refrigerant. Ensure refrigerant compatibility with the system and add refrigerant into the system in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and trade practices. (9) Check connections made for leaks. (10)Restart and Test. Once the system is charged, restore power and test the A/C unit for proper operation and compressor function. (11)Install/Provide Service Label inside of the condenser service cover. Site Visit: A site visit will be conducted on Friday June 27, 2025 at 0800 AM at BLDG 10537 on Fort Stewart, GA.
