The project is expected to be awarded on October 21, 2025.** This project is a joint venture between City of Riverside (City) and Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (RCFC & WCD). Under the terms of the Cooperative Agreement between both agencies, the City will administer the construction of City designed project along with inspection by RCFC & WCD's personnel for storm drain system greater than 36" in diameter. Upon completion of the project, RCFC & WCD will assume ownership and maintenance responsibilities for all the storms drain system larger than 36-inches in diameter. All work done and all materials furnished shall be subject to the City's Engineer and RCFC & WCD representative's inspection and approval to ensure design objectives. The scope of work will consist of approximately 4,300 linear feet of underground storm drain system and includes but not limited to the construction of catch basin inlets, junction structures, and storm drain laterals within the public right-of-way impacting Kansas Avenue, Third Street, Fourth Street, Mission Inn Avenue and Commerce Street (Project). The Project will construct new improvements and reroute flows to the existing Box Spring Storm Drain, Stage 3 facility at Mission Inn Avenue to support area drainage demands. The storm drain system includes installation of reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) varies from 24- inch to 78-inch diameter but not limited to storm drain laterals, manholes, junction structures, transition structures, drop inlets, catch basins, and other miscellaneous structures. Any communications, whether written or verbal, with any City Council member, Mayor, or City staff prior to the release of a notification of intent to award or in any manner other than as directed by City Purchasing Staff, is strictly prohibited and the Contractor shall be disqualified from consideration.
