Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Lakewood, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by the District and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Meadowbrook Water District endorsed with the name of the bidder and the title '2025 Capital Improvements Project - Fire Hydrant Replacement". A pre-bid meeting will not be held. The work to be performed under this contract generally consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, accessories, and labor to furnish and perform all operations necessary to remove and replace twenty (20) fire hydrants, connections to existing facilities, abandonment of existing facilities, erosion control, concrete removal & replacement, asphalt removal & replacement, and site restoration to a condition equal to or better than the existing condition at the start of construction. The Bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds to the District. The "Performance and Maintenance" and "Labor and Material Payment" bonds shall be furnished in the amount of 100 percent of the contract, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. 6.1. The intent of the Plans and Specifications is to prescribe a complete work or improvement which the Contractor undertakes to do in full compliance with the Plans, Specifications, Proposal and Contract, together with any authorized alterations, Supplementary Conditions and Modifications. The Contractor shall perform all items of work covered and stipulated in the Contract Documents together with any authorized alternations, all in accordance with the lines, grades, cross sections and dimensions shown on the Plans. The Contractor shall furnish, unless otherwise provided in the Specifications, all materials, equipment, implements, labor, transportation of construction equipment and machinery, tools, appliances, fuel, power, light, heat, telephone, water and sanitary facilities and all other facilities and incidentals necessary for the execution, testing, initial operation and completion of the Work. 6.2. Should any construction or conditions which are not thoroughly or satisfactorily stipulated or set forth by the Specifications be anticipated on any proposed project, Supplementary Conditions for such work may be prepared and attached to the Proposal Form and Contract, and shall be considered as part of the Specifications, the same as though contained fully therein. Should any Supplementary Condition conflict with the General Conditions, the Supplementary Condition will govern. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept that proposal which in its sole and absolute judgment will under all circumstances best serve the District's interest. No proposal will be accepted from any firm, person, or corporation, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, or is deemed incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable by the District Board of Directors. No bids will be considered which are received after the time indicated above, and any bids so received after the scheduled closing time shall be returned to the bidder unopened..
