The scope of the work consists of installation of approximately 8195 lf of 8" PVC waterline, 14 fire hydrants, 9 main line valves, reconnection of 20 services, pavement restoration, berm stone, pavement marking and all other necessary appurtenances. Proposals must be submitted on the form furnished by the City; must contain the full name of every person interested therein and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of a bond as required in Section 153.54 (A) of the Ohio Revised Code with a satisfactory surety or accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than ten (10%) per cent of the amount of the proposal by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 and Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code on a solvent bank, subject to the conditions provided in the Notice to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed Contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of Plans, Specifications or other Contract Documents, he may submit to the City written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the documents will be made only by Addendum duly issued and a copy will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set ofsuch documents. The City will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed documents.
