Health Services Alterations - Prairie State College. Work will be let under one contract, to the lowest responsible bidder. All Contractors are required to comply with the Local Board Policy requiring compliance with Public Act 093-642 which requires participation in apprenticeship and training programs approved by the U. S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. Certified Payroll forms will be required submissions for the project. Contact David Wyatt, U. S. Document A-305 (Contractors Qualification Statement) for this specific project before picking up plans and specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, or a certified check payable to the order of the Owner, certified by a responsible bank for an amount not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond, execute the Contract and proceed with the work. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/Material Bond will be required of the successful bidder, written by a Surety approved by the Owner. Not less than the prevailing wage shall be paid for labor on the work to be done as required by law. The Board of Trustees, Prairie State College (the Owner) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any or all irregularities or technicalities in the bid, and award the bid in the manner that best serves the interests of the Owner
