Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Sikeston, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

As of October 30, 2025, this project has been completed. The City of Sikeston reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, as deemed, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any proposal if the vendor is delinquent in the payment of any taxes, fees or licenses owed to the City. In the event a vendor is delinquent in any payment to the City, the City may offset the delinquent amount due against sums owed the vendor. The City of Sikeston may make such investigation as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the vendor to discharge the agreement or contract. The vendor shall furnish the City with all such information and data as may be required for that purpose. The City reserves the right to reject any bid if the vendor fails to satisfactorily convince the City that he is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the agreement or contract, and to satisfactorily complete the work called for herein. When determining the successful vendor, the City reserves the right to apply up to a five percent (5%) local vendor preference for goods and services provided by vendors located within the City Limits of Sikeston. The City of Sikeston reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to accept the lowest and best bid for each of the listed properties. The successful bidder shall post all applicable bonds, licenses, and insurance as required by the City of Sikeston, including obtaining a City Business License, and any applicable permits. The successful bidder shall provide all indemnification and hold harmless agreement to the City of Sikeston. All bidders must also be enrolled in the E-Verify Program and include their MOU prior to contract execution. Bidders who are not enrolled will need to go to the following website link and select "Enroll in the Program" to get started. After completing the program, they will receive their E-Verify MOU with Department of Homeland Security. This document will need to be printed out and kept on file so that a copy can be attached to the Affidavit of Compliance. Insurance Requirements :Contractor shall maintain and provide proof of the following insurance coverage, naming the City as an additional insured, prior to commencing work: o General Liability Insurance: Coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. o Worker's Compensation Insurance. o Automobile Liability Insurance: Coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence for all owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles used in the performance of this agreement. Contractor's insurance shall be primary, and any insurance carried by the City shall be excess and non-contributory. Any contractor unable to provide certificates of insurance as specified above will not be awarded the contract for the work specified herein. Limitation of City Liability :Under no circumstances shall the City be liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from the services provided by the Contractor. Prevailing Wages :The use of prevailing wages (State and/or Federal) is waived for this project. Successful bidder will be required to sign a contract with the City of Sikeston for the project described herein. Work cannot begin until the contract is signed and any applicable permits have been issued. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site** 1. Cut the existing back of dugout chain-link to 8 ft height. 2. Cut the existing side of dugout chain-link at an angle (8 ft back height to 9 ft front height) 3. Install sheet metal on (2) - 31' x 10' dugouts. 4. Connect the front of the roof to the fence at 9 ft height 5. Repurpose existing horizontal supports as needed 6. Weld into place 1 5/8" SS40 galvanized pipe every 4 feet for supports to existing fence frame. 7. Install 2x4 treated lumber on 2' center. 8. Use U clamp to secure 2x4 to pipe. 9. Vendor shall complete the full project by Friday, August 22nd, 2025
