Demolition, site work and paving for a civil project in Manhattan, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.
City/County : Will Note a start date is restricted to 4/1/2026. Includes a complete road closure, then removal of the existing single span bridge (099- 3225) and excavation for structure. Construction includes: furnish and install steel H-piling, cast-in-place concrete bridge abutments, cast-in-place concrete bridge deck slab. Roadway improvements include cast-in-place concrete wing walls, and reshaping and armoring the channel with rip rap. Aggregate Sub-grade improvement, Hot-Mix Asphalt binder, Hot-Mix Asphalt surfacing, furnishing and installing steel bridge rail and guardrail, and other items to complete the project. Proposals requiring prequalification of bidders will be issued only to those contractors who are qualified with the Department of Transportation. Prequalification forms may be secured from the Engineer of Construction, Administration Building, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62764.
