A bid bond on the Michigan Standard Form, issued by an approved Surety Company, may be furnished in lieu of a certified check. The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond of 100% for two years of the Final Contract Price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for opening thereof. This time frame may be adjusted through material agreement between the Owner and Contractor. The City of Rochester reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the City's best interest and its sole discretion. This project involves the removal of the existing playscape and the instalation of a new playscape at the municipal park. It also includes partial removal of the existing parking lot to create ADA-compliant parking spaces, as detailed in the engineering plans. Additionaly, the project includes the removal and replacement of sections of the existing pathway, which wil be reconstructed in accordance with ADA standards. The scope of work also includes the removal of existing storm sewer infrastructure and improvements to the stormwater colection system.
