SUMMARY OF SCOPE: The City of Pinellas Park is seeking bids from qualified roofing contractors to provide all necessary labor and material to remove and dispose of the existing roofs, (including shingles, underlayment, flashing, drip edge, vent boots, and any other items pertaining to each specific roof) and install new roofs at 7 City locations. All roofs being replaced will be completed with a layer of peel and stick underlayment, dimensional shingles, new flashings and drip edge, all boots, and any item per contractor recommendation with approval from owner. Contractor will be expected to replace any and all wood that has been compromised due to water or insect damage including soffit and sheathing. Pricing for these items will be on an as needed basis and must be approved by the owner prior to replacement. Except as otherwise specifically stated in the contract, the Contractor shall provide and pay for all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and transportation of every nature and all other services and facilities of every nature whatsoever, necessary to execute, complete, and deliver the work within the specified time. All supplies and materials shall be new. This deadline has been established to maintain fair treatment for all potential Proposers, while ensuring an expeditious evaluation and selection process. The Architect/Engineer will be the interpreter of the requirements of the Project Plans and Specifications. Upon receipt of comments or objections by Contractor or Owner, the Architect/Engineer will make decisions on all claims, disputes, or other matters pertaining to the interpretation of the Project Plans and Specifications.
