Questions Due: 7/17/2025 General Order LKC0036388 This Invitation to Bid is for the removal and installation of new Motor Control Center equipment and two variable frequency drives (VFD's) at the Parallel Pump Station located at 5601 Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas. Sequence of work is necessary to maintain operational, throughout the entire project, at least two pumps in the pump station to supply water to Kansas City, Kansas. Only one VFD and 1/2 of the MCC will be available at a time for removal and installation. One VFD and 1/2 of the MCC must be completed and operational prior to a subsequent drive and remaining MCC being taken out of service. The BPU has purchased the VFDs and MCC for installation. All labor, equipment and materials necessary to remove existing equipment and install the BPU furnished equipment in accordance with these detailed specifications is to be provided. All bids in excess of $100,000.00 must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bank-certified check or a Bid Bond underwritten by a surety company licensed to issue Bid Bonds in the State of Kansas.The bid security shall be in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid.
