The submission deadline for bids and any bid amendments or withdrawals is 1:30 p.m. local time on July 30, 2025. Bids will then be opened publicly at 2:00 p.m. at Seward City Council Chambers, 5th Avenue & Adams Street, Seward, Alaska. The City of Seward desires to receive bids from contractors to construct the SMIC Hypochlorite Generator project. The scope of work includes furnishing and installing a building addition to the existing Generator Building; furnishing and installing a sewer service and drain field; furnishing and installing a hypochlorite generator and appurtenances; and other miscellaneous items of work. The above work will be bid as a base bid and one additive alternate. Provisions of both Alaska Title 36, Public Contracts, Laborers' and Mechanics' Minimum Rates of Pay, AS 36.05.010 and AS 36.05.030, and a Federal Wage Determination are applicable to this contract. The selection of the qualified bidder will be at the sole discretion of the City of Seward, and the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to not award a contract if deemed in the best interest of the City.
