Renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot in Seward, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 816-square-foot, one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is for the renovation and replacement of the Seward Harbor pedestrian boardwalk/railing between F – Float and Ray’s Waterfront, to provide a safe walkway for locals and visitors along the waterfront. The current boardwalk measures approximately 6’ x 136’ (816 square feet) and is to be widened to 10-12’ x 136’, with installation of a concrete curb along the West edge. The successful proposer must obtain all necessary permits, conduct site preparation, procure materials, and perform the removal/disposal and construction of the current boardwalk. The structure must meet all State of Alaska snow load and building code requirements for Seward. Proposers must have experience with the design/build process and have completed similar design/fabrication projects. All work must be completed by May 31, 2026. Proposals should be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked for the project; late or electronic submissions will not be accepted. The City of Seward reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to not award a contract if deemed in the best interest of the City.
