The Work generally comprises furnishing of all labor and furnishing and installing all equipment and materials, unless herein specifically excepted, necessary for the complete and satisfactory construction of the proposed Advanced Metering Infrastructure Implementation Project Phase I, including (but not limited to) replacement of 4,982 existing flow meters ranging in size from 3/4" diameter through 6" diameter and construction of fixed Advanced Metering Infrastructure data collection system facilities. All questions must be submitted in writing via online by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 . NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ADDRESSED AFTER THIS TIME. Prospective bidders shall be licensed Contractors in the State of California having at least 5 years' experience and being qualified to perform the Work specified in the Contract Documents. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 3300, bidders (Contractors) shall possess active and current Contractor's License, Class A, which shall be maintained at the time of bid and through the course of the Work. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any irregularity, or to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder. If Owner elects to award a contract for the Work, the award will be made within 60 days from the date of the bid opening. Bids shall be valid for said 60 day period. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond issued by a surety admitted in and regulated by the State of California and further, if the work or project is financed in whole or in part with federal grant or loan funds, listed in the Treasury Department s most current Circular 570 (bid bond shall be submitted on the form included in the Contract Documents or on an equivalent form approved by Owner) for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount bid. Said check or bond shall be made payable to RUBIDOUX COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT and, when delivered with a bid proposal, shall constitute a guarantee that bidder will, if an award is made to them in accordance with the terms of said bidder's proposal: execute the Contract in the Owner's standard form, together with Labor Code certification thereon; furnish Contract Performance and Payment Bonds with a corporate surety or sureties satisfactory to the Owner, or equivalent substitution in lieu of bonds, each for not less than 100 percent of the bid price; furnish Certificates of Insurance evidencing that all insurance coverage required by the Contract has been secured.
