Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Manteca, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes the installation of enhanced pedestrian crossings, curb ramps, sidewalks, driveways, Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon System at Moffat Blvd and Garfield Ave, new signal at Main St & Jason St, and ancillary safety improvements in the vicinity of Brock Elliot Elementary, Golden West Elementary, Manteca High, Shasta Elementary, Sierra High, & Stella Brockman Elementary schools. Question Deadline 07/15/2025 at 5:00 PM PT - Refer to this web address periodically as it will be updated with bid-related questions and answers until 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Wednesday July 16, 2025. The questions and answers posted at the web address above shall form part of the Contract Documents. Bidding procedures are prescribed in the contract documents. Bids shall only be executed upon the bound bid forms provided, which are a part of said contract documents. Bid guarantee in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount and conforming to the prescribed bidding procedures is required to be submitted with each bid, as a guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to enter into the same, or fails to furnish in a timely manner the bonds and/or proof of insurance. All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the project. In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A license at the time that the bid is submitted. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid non-responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, as well as a Faithful Performance Bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. All bonds submitted shall be from admitted sureties. No bidder may withdraw its bid for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. Project shall have Substantial Completion within 150 working days and Final Completion within 170 working days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Time for commencement and completion of the work is important, and is the essence of the Contract. The work required for installation of installation of enhanced pedestrian crossings, curb ramps, sidewalks, driveways, pedestrian hybrid beacon system at Moffat Blvd and Garfield Ave, new traffic signal system at Main St & Jason St, drainage modifications, irrigation modification, and ancillary safety improvements in the vicinity of Brock Elliot Elementary, Golden West Elementary, Manteca High, Shasta Elementary, Sierra High, & Stella Brockman Elementary schools will include, but not be limited to, the following items: 1. Obtain all necessary permits 2. Mobilize to the job site. 3. Install temporary traffic control system, construction signs, flagging, etc. 4. Install Water Pollution Control (WPC) 5. Resident and Business notification 6. Pre-construction survey monument preservation 7. Procure construction materials, equipment, etc. 8. Curb ramps 9. Sidewalks 10. Driveways 11. Drainage and irrigation modifications 12. Traffic signal and pedestrian hybrid beacon system installation 13. Removal of existing striping and signage, as needed 14. Surface improvements, as needed 15. Temporary striping & markings 16. Traffic signage 17. Final striping & pavement markings 18. Return site to pre-construction conditions
