The City of Manteca is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for Professional Engineering Services. The purpose is to select a consultant to assist with the development of Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) for both the State Route 120 / Airport Way Interchange and the State Route 120 / Main Street Interchange Projects. Only one consultant will be selected for both interchanges. State Route 120 / Airport Way: The City of Manteca, in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to improve local and regional traffic circulation and reduce existing and future congestion by improving the State Route 120 (SR 120)/Airport Way Interchange at approximately PM R2.6 to R3.8. The interchange improvements are needed to increase traffic capacity and enhance traffic operations and mobility, which will accommodate future traffic demands as a result of the growth planned for in the City of Manteca. The project also proposes bicycle and pedestrian improvements through the interchange. The City is seeking proposals from licensed, qualified, and committed professional engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for the preparation and completion of Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) phase for 1. State Route 120 / Airport Way Interchange Project. 2. State Route 120 / Main Street Interchange Project. based on the direction of the approved Project Study Report/Project Development Support (PSR/PDS) document included in Attachments B, C, D, and E. The existing SR 120 Main Street interchange is a Type L-2 spread diamond configuration, with single lane on and off-ramps. The existing Main Street and the ramp terminal intersections are both three phase signalized intersections.
