This project involves 6 updated pedestrian ramps, involving 160 LF Curb & Gutter, 74 SY of new sidewalk and 190 SF of detectable warning panels. The City Council will award the bid at their meeting on July 22, 2025, and the low bidder must return the signed contract and performance bond by August 7, 2025. The late start date is September 2, 2025. There are 30 working days on this project. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 7/11/2025 12:00 PM CT Project S-2025, Pedestrian Ramps, will see to the update of the pedestrian ramps at the following intersections: South 23 rd Street & Cameron Drive South 23 rd Street & Lafayette Terrace South 23 rd Street & 12 th Avenue South South 23 rd Street & 13 th Avenue South South 22 nd Street & 12 th Avenue South South 22 nd Street & 13 th Avenue South These ramps have previously been reconstructed but due to updates in the standards require new adjustments. These required adjustments total up to 160 LF of new curb and gutter, 74 SY of new sidewalk, 190 SF of new Detectable Warning Panel. The variety of new PCC will require 36 SY of 12" Subbase and 74 SY of 6" Subbase. Each of these ramps comes with a required amount of pavement removal (86 SY), Excavation (48 CY), and curb removal (160 LF). Lastly, just like with any project, there are the necessary items of traffic control, turf restoration, mobilization and a concrete washout. This project is constructed in a residential neighborhood and all work should be completed while keeping the roads open to traffic.
