The Construction of a New Transmission Main, Constructed in a Tunnel Connected to the Belmont and Queen Lane Water Treatment Plants (Wtp) Finished Water Storage Facilities in the West and Northwest Philadelphia Sections of the City and Replacement of a Finished Water Storage Facility. The Department Invites Qualified Architecture and Engineering Firms to Apply for This Opportunity. The Department is Seeking Professional Firms Capable of Performing All Services in an Expeditious Manner Consistent With the Interests of the City and of the Highest Professional Quality. The Department is Seeking an Architecture and Engineering Firm That Can Provide All Required Services Either Directly or in Collaboration With Subconsultants. The Department Anticipates Selecting One Applicant With Which to Contract. The Department Will Only Consider Proposals From Respondents That Can Demonstrate That They Have Provided Similar Tunnel, Water Storage Tank, and Conveyance Design Services to Other Clients on a Similar Scale and Capacity. Applicants Shall Present at Least Three Projects Showing Demonstrated Experience as the Lead Designer on Large-diameter Tunnel (I.e., With an Excavated Diameter Greater Than 8-feet) and Shaft Projects in Ground With Subsurface Features Similar to the Schuylkill River Crossing Project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
