Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Castle Rock, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000391963 The work to be performed under this contract includes the removal and replacement of: concrete pavement, asphalt pavement, patterned concrete, sidewalk, vertical curb & gutter, mountable curb, gutter & walk, crosspan (10" thick), inlet top & pan and earthwork, plus the removal and replacement of ADA curb ramps (6" thick) and the installation of chase drains at specific locations. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. The contract shall be awarded based on the unit prices in Bid schedule A as well as total cost for Bid Schedules B through I and the contract documents. Pending budgetary constraints, one or more bid schedules, D through I, may be excluded from the contract award. Contingent upon funding availability and at the Town's discretion, additional maintenance work may be added to the contract via a contract change order. Bid line items on Bid Schedule A will be utilized for said additional work as assigned, and the unit prices shall be maintained through April 30, 2026. Once the contractor has received and agreed to the contract change order for the additional work to be performed, which will include the number of contract days for the work to be completed, the contractor shall have ten working days to mobilize to complete the work within the designated contract days. No guarantee is made as to the quantity of additional work that may be assigned to the contractor. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with adjacent businesses, trash removal companies, school district, HOA, Metro Districts, and other Town maintenance projects if applicable. Contractor shall commence work other than any maintenance work that may be assigned via a contract change order no later than the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed (NTP). NTP is anticipated to be issued on September 8, 2025. Construction Completion (punchlist items, cleanup, and demobilize) shall be issued within forty (40) working days from the date on the Notice to Proceed. If bid schedules are to be excluded due to budgetary constraints, contract days will be adjusted accordingly at the time of award. A schedule of sequencing of all work shall be submitted at or before the project pre-construction meeting, and approved by the Town prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. The Guarantee must be a certified check payable to the Town of Castle Rock or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder. If awarded the Bid, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond are required within ten (10) days of receipt of the written Notice of Award, each for the total amount of the Contract Price. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date fixed for opening the Bids. The Town of Castle Rock reserves the right to cancel this Invitation to Bid; reject any Bid, in whole or in part; to adjust the quantity of Work to be done as mandated by budgetary requirements; and to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bids received; when it is in the Town's best interest to do so.
