A 5% Bid Bond or Certified Check must accompany each bid submitted and made payable to, and become the property of the City of Waltham, if the successful bidder refuses or neglects to comply with the terms of the Contract. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance, naming the City of Waltham as an Additional Named Insured with a waiver ofsubrogation, for General Liability and Vehicle Liability in the amount of $500,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in the aggregate and Worker's Compensation Insurance as prescribed by law. In accordance with M.G.L.Ch 149 the undersigned certifies that all employees to be employed at the worksite will have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA that is at least 10 hours in duration at the time the employee begins work and shall furnish documentation of successful completion ofsaid course with the first certified payroll report for each employee.
