Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in North Waltham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
Sealed FILED SUB-BIDS for categories of Historic Masonry, Waterproofing Damproofing and Caulking, Roofing, Painting and Electrical A 5% Bid Bond or Certified Check must accompany each bid submitted and made payable to, and become the property of the City of Waltham, if the successful bidder refuses or neglects to comply with the terms of the Contract. If the Bidder is a corporation, state your correct corporate name and State of incorporation. If Bidder is a partnership, state names and addresses of partners. If Bidder is a trust or other legal entity, state correct names and addresses of trustees or names and address of those legally authorized to bid and enter into contracts. Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance, naming the City of Waltham as an Additional Named Insured with a waiver ofsubrogation, for General Liability and Vehicle Liability in the amount of $500,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in the aggregate and Worker's Compensation Insurance as prescribed by law. In accordance with M.G.L.Ch 149 the undersigned certifies that all employees to be employed at the worksite will have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA that is at least 10 hours in duration at the time the employee begins work and shall furnish documentation of successful completion ofsaid course with the first certified payroll report for each employee. Work includes the areas identified on the roof plans as well as an additional 500 SF on Howe and 500 SF on Administration Building. Cast stone and granite repairs and restoration 9. Miscellaneous metals including lintels, stair treads and railing/guard repairs 10. Rough carpentry 11. Wood repairs and restoration 12. New membrane roofing 13. New slate tile roofing 14. New sheet metal including roof flashing, drainage elements, and miscellaneous flashings 15. Joint sealants 16. New hollow metal doors and frames 17. Historic wood window repairs and restoration 18. New wood windows 19. New polymer windows 20. Glazing 21. Door Hardware 22. Painting 23. Roof drains and temporary drainage piping 24. Temporary Power and Lighting (to be turned over to City at Substantial Completion)
