Each general bid, and each sub-bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Waltham in the amount of five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance, naming the City of Waltham as an Additional Named Insured with a waiver of subrogation, for General Liability and Vehicle Liability in the amount of $500,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in the aggregate and Worker's Compensation Insurance as prescribed by law. The Contractor shall familiarize himself with the existing conditions and shall be responsible for locating or re-establishing survey field ties, property lines, and benchmarks indicated on the plans.
