The City of Kingsland is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of three (3) new driveway connections and associated sidewalks into Parcel 094 035, commonly referred to as "The Lawn," located along Royal Parkway in Kingsland, Georgia. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, demolition, grading, storm drainage improvements, paving, and the installation of concrete aprons. All proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number, title, opening date and name of bidder shall be clearly displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope. All Responders shall submit one (1) original and two (2) copies of their documents in a SEALED envelope or package. There will not be a pre-proposal meeting. The City of Kingsland reserves the right, at any time, to modify, waive, or otherwise vary the terms and conditions of this RFP including, but not limited to, the deadlines for submissions and submission requirements. The City further reserves the right to cancel or withdraw this RFP at any time. Work shall be completed no later than 180 Days following the commencement date of the contract and following written "Notice to Proceed" by Owner. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, OWNER and VENDOR agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), VENDOR shall pay OWNER $300.00 for each calendar day that expires after the time specified for completion until the work or product is finalized and accepted by the City.
