Demolition and site work for a civil project in Nevis, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
Bridge File (BF) 1778 over Tail Creek Near Nevis (SW 14-39-22-4) Bridge Culvert Installation and Other Work Install 2.7 m Diameter CSP Culvert by 44 m Invert Length Work shall include installation of a new bridge culvert structure at Bridge File 1778. Bridge File 1778: The Contractor shall install a 2.70 m diameter CSP culvert by 44.00 m invert length carrying Township Road 392 over Tail Creek, located 4 km northwest of Nevis (SW 14-39-22-4). The new culvert will be positioned on-square to the road, centred at local Station 5+550.000. The Contractor shall install the culvert in accordance with the site-specific Design Sketches and Section 18 of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The Scope of the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Contractor’s Scope of Work: - Site isolation, turbidity monitoring, and fish capture and release - Demolition and disposal of bridge structures - Excavation, including supply and placement of geotextile filter fabric - Backfill, including supply of granular and clay material and backfill material testing - Heavy rock riprap erosion protection County of Stettler No. 6’s Scope of Work: - Traffic accommodation - Supply and assembly of culvert materials - Supply and installation of new fencing - Roadway work - Permanent environmental protection devices - Bridge File tag supply installation Project has been cancelled
