Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an office development in Beverly Hills, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development; for the demolition of a office development; for the addition of a 4,700-square-foot office development; and for site work for a office development.
The project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the Community Development Dept. Interior Improvement Project at first floor of the City Hall building, located at 455 N. Rexford Dr. Beverly Hills, CA 90210 as depicted on the drawings (Exhibit 'A') and technical specifications (Exhibit 'B'). This project includes an approximately 4700sq.ft of staff work area, offices, lunchroom, and file room, plus addition of a lactation room. The work includes but not limited to selective demolition and construction of new partitions, doors, windows, ceilings, flooring, etc... The scope also includes modification to existing mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems as fully described in Contract Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety insurer, each of which must be made payable to the City, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon award of Contract, Contractor shall provide faithful performance and payment Bonds, each in a sum equal to the Contract Price. Bonds must be issued by a California admitted Surety insurer and submitted using the required forms, which are in the Contract Documents. Failure to enter into a valid contract, including the submission of all required Bonds and insurance coverages, with the City within fifteen (15) Days after the date of the delivery of the contract forms to the Bidder, shall constitute a material breach and subject the Bid security to forfeiture to the extent provided by law. There will be a $500.00 assessment for each calendar day that Work remains incomplete beyond the time specified for the completion of the Work in the Contract Documents. Execution of the Work shall be completed within 150 calendar days from the day of the Notice To Proceed. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid or all Bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid or in the bidding and to make awards in all or part in the best interest of the City.
