the performing of the work as follows: Replace broken and lifted sections of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, install tree root barrier, and other miscellaneous work within the City of Redding on an as-needed basis throughout the contract period. The work performed under this contract shall include the furnishing of all labor(at prevailing wage rate), materials, applicable taxes, and equipment necessary to perform the work listed, and all specific items shown on the plans, specified in the Standard Specifications and these special provisions, and as directed by the Public Works Supervisor. Engineer's Estimate is $225,000 Contractor shall possess a Class A or C-8 license at the time bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
