Site work for a swimming pool in Roseville, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
The Rosebrook wading pool was installed sometime in the 1970s and well beyond its useful life. It is experiencing failing in the concrete shell, piping, pumping system and filtration system. Due to its age, replacement parts cannot be procured. Additionally, the pool is not up to current-day codes. It is estimated that a one-to-one replacement would cost around $1.4 million. This proposed CIP item is for replacement of the pool with a splash pad. This proposal will be vetted out through community engagement, the parks and recreation commission and ultimately the City Council before beginning the project. The project is included in the City's 2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 17, 2025, project is still in planning, nothing formal yet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
