to excavate and haul offsite material from Water Treatment Plant No. 2 West Settling Pond as detailed in the Project Specifications. The PUD reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals, and to waive any informality in the bid or in the bidding process. This contract is subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage Requirements (RCW 39.12). Women or minority owned business enterprise participation is not a requirement of this project, however, involvement is encouraged. Mobilization consists of preconstruction expenses and the costs of preparatory Work and operations performed by the Contractor which occur before 10-percent of the total original Contract amount is earned from other Contract items. Furnish all labor, equipment, material and means to complete the work as described on the Project Drawings and as indicated or described in the contract. Maintain existing slopes of pond and match as excavation of material is performed. Finish grade shall be a continuation of the existing slope of the perimeter of the pond to the bottom elevation of 26.5i. Pay limits shall be calculated on a Lump Sum basis. Furnish all labor, equipment, material and means to complete the work as described on the Project Drawings and as indicated or described in the contract. To the full extent possible prevent spilling excavated material out of trucks onto roads i.e., the pond access road, office parking areas, and Trigg Rd. entrance as well as City of Ferndale and Whatcom County Right of Ways. Excavated material shall be dumped at an acceptable approved dump site. Pay limits shall be calculated on a Lump Sum basis. In the event that Haul Permits from either City of Ferndale and/or Whatcom County be required it is the Contractors responsibility to apply for and obtain Permits.
