Contract(s) Being Bid Bids, which will comply with the Bidding Documents, will be received for the following Scopes of Work: Contract No. 25-002: Replacement Salt Shed Electric Project - General Construction Contract. The Town of Union Vale invites the submission of separate sealed bid proposals for the Replacement Salt Shed General Construction Project. Time is of the essence: The contract shall be completed within 60 days of the notice of award of the contract. Document info : Digital copies will be provided free of charge, but hard copies will require a $100 deposit. Each Contractor shall submit an affidavit stating that the existing site has been examined to accompany the Bid submission. All contractor questions shall be directed to the office of the Engineer, in writing. Manner of Bids Submitted: Bids shall be made on standard proposal forms furnished in the bid documents in the manner designated there, and required by the specifications, shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes, clearly marked on the outside with the following information: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Town of Union Vale Replacement Salt Shed - Electrical Contract. 1. Bid Proposal for Town of Union Vale Replacement Salt Shed Electrical Project, Contract No. 25-002. 2. The name and address of the bidder; The Contract Number(s) and Branch(es) of Work, as identified above for which the Bid is submitted, must be accompanied by the following in duplicate: (one original/one copy). 1. Bid Form. 2. A Non-Collusion Affidavit. 3. Bid Bond 4. Statement of Site Visit. 5. Certificate of Registration by the NYS DOL for the prime contractor. Upon submission of Bid, it is understood that the Bidder has read, fully understands, and will comply with the requirements of the Bid Documents. Applicable Law Governing Public Building Construction The requirements of New York State Labor Law, Article 8 (Section 220-223) and Article 9 (Section 230-239). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening except with the express written approval of the Owner. Owner's Disclaimer/Owner's Discretion to Accept or Reject Bids: The Owner assumes no responsibility, whatsoever, in connection with any defects arising out of the Bidding Documents or the receipt or failure to receive Bids, including those which may arise from delay for any reason, in obtaining or submitting the Bidding Documents, including but not limited to, traffic delay, messengering, mis-labeling, mis-directions from any source, misdelivery, or otherwise. Any Bid, which does not fulfill the material requirements of the Bidding Documents may be rejected. When it is in its best interest to do so, the Owner may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of Bids, or may waive any informalities in or reject any or all Bids. Statement of Equality The Town of Union Vale hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in regards to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
