The Town of Honea Path (Owner) is requesting Bids for the Chiquola and Clatworthy Subbasin Sewer Rehab Phase 2 (Division B) project which includes furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct the following summary of Work and approximate quantities: Pipe bursting 2,701 Linear Feet (LF) of 8" HDPE and 659 LF of 10" HDPE sewer lines. Cured In Place Pipe of 1,507 LF of varied 8", 10" & 12" Dia. Reconnection of 18 lateral connections, Structural manhole rehabilitation of 29 manholes totaling 167 vertical feet of lining, miscellaneous point repairs and all restoration. Principal Items of Work Include: 1. Rehabilitation of Main Sewers with various methods 2. Manhole Rehabilitation 3. Sewer Point Repairs 4. Sewer service reconnections 5. Sewer Service Lateral Replacement 6. Asphalt repairs 7. Sidewalk removal and replacement 8. Traffic control 9. Erosion & Sedimentation Control The bid is divided into a Base Bid with three (3) add alternates. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.There is no pre-bid conference for this project. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates). This project is being funded by the State Revolving Fund (SRF) and bidders must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements identified in the bid documents. Prospective contractors shall follow the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts that requires all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors be paid wages at rates not less than those listed on the prevailing wage rate contained in the contract documents and that all applicable provisions of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts be met. Bidders must comply with all applicable state and federal requirements identified in the bid documents regarding "American Iron and Steel" provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 (Section 426). For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Site Visit and Testing by Bidders A. Bidder is encouraged to visit the Site and conduct a thorough visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas. During the visit the Bidder must not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
