The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, herein referred to as the "Parish," is accepting qualification statements for Architectural and Design Services for the Calcasieu Public Works East Safe Room Project. The intent of this Request for Qualifications, herein referred to as "RFQ", is to qualify and award an Architectural/Architect firm who will be responsible for performing architectural and design services for a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) P-361 compliant dual use safe room in compliance with Hazard Mitigation Assistance Program (HMA) requirements for the Calcasieu Public Works East Safe Room project which the Parish submitted to FEMA under the HMA program. The Parish requests written statements from experienced and qualified Architectural/Architect firms to assist the Parish in the planning, development, design and construction management of a new safe room and training space for the Calcasieu Public Works East site. The Parish will accept qualification statements from individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other legal entities licensed and authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana. If an award is made, the Architect to whom this project is awarded will be responsible for satisfying the scope of service requirements, including any additional services if applicable, listed herein. The applicant should identify key, experienced personnel, and facilities to support the activities associated with this RFQ. Individuals who will be directly involved in the project should have demonstrated experience in the areas delineated in the scope of services. It is recommended that a landscape architect or a member of the design team have a proven history of landscape design experience on the project team.
