PROJECT Objective The objective of this project is to partially reconfigure the northwest area of first deck of Building 116 (B116) currently used as a security office. The project converts the current space into state of-the art, efficient administrative areas that will accommodate currently dispersed FLCSD personnel and mitigate the impact to mission readiness. The existing security suite is composed of a layout of non-bearing metal frame gypsum walls that stop at 8’0” height, no ceiling, suspended lighting fixtures and exposed fire protection and mechanical elements. There is concern for inadequate acoustical privacy. The flooring is composed of various carpet styles trimmed by rubber bases at the walls. This is a design/build project.
