The purpose of this request for proposals is to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to provide labor, material and equipment required to replace the existing air conditioning outdoor condensing unit, DX evaporator coil, refrigeration piping system including line voltage electrical, controls for AHU-13 at the Marathon County Courthouse. It is anticipated that this RFP will result in a single contract being awarded to the contractor that can best meet all the specified requirements of this Request for Proposal. Detailed Scope of Work: 1. Demolition Scope: Remove ACCU-13 Trane condensing unit model RAUCC404BU0300D000020, Refrigerant R22. Remove direct expansion cooling coil (existing Trane AHU cooling coil section to remain as is). Remove existing R22 refrigerant and turn over to Marathon County. (Marathon County will provide refrigerant containers). Remover existing R22 refrigeration piping. Disconnect line voltage electrical for existing condensing unit and solenoid valves. Disconnect low voltage controls. 2. New Equipment Scope: New equipment requirements are based on Trane RAUJC404B condensing unit system. Or proven equal system. ACCU-13-40 ton, Trane RAUJC404B condensing unit, DX evaporator coil and refrigerant specialties: o Dual Circuit o 410A Refrigerant o Non-fused disconnect switch o Suction service valves o Vibration isolators o 2nd-5th year compressor warranty (parts only) Furnish and install DX cooling coils into the existing AHU cooling section: o Set new equipment on the existing concrete condenser pad o Provide and install new R410A refrigeration piping, fittings and refrigeration specialties as required by the equipment manufacturer. o Pressure testing, evacuation and complete refrigerant charge of R410A refrigerant. o Reconnect condensate piping to the nearest floor drain Insulate refrigeration suction piping only with 1" thick Aerocel SSPT. o PVC jacketing on exterior refrigeration suction line piping Electrical to include: o Reuse existing 100A breaker o Reuse existing feeders and conduit from the new breakers to the new unit. o Replace existing fuses if required to match MOCP of new unit. o New electrical feeders and conduit from new breakers to new condensing units as required. o Wiring of 120V liquid line solenoid valves. Temperature control work to include: o Disconnect, reconnect the existing control wiring and staging. o Associated programming for cooling enable and modulation from Tridium BAS o Verify operation with the existing BAS Coring through walls and patching as required for refrigerant piping to be included. Complete installation by having a factory representative start-up of the air conditioning system. Contractor is responsible for all work required to install the new air conditioning system Anticipated Award Date: Week of August 18, 2025 It is the Countys intent to have the project completed by November 25, 2025. The term of the contract shall commence on the date of contract execution and shall run through final completion and Owner acceptance of the project. The on-site work of this project shall start no sooner than September 29, 2025, and shall be completed no later than November 25, 2025.
