Renovation of a transportation facility in Whistler, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

BC Transit is seeking a qualified contractor for LED upgrades at BC Transit's Whistler Operations & Maintenance Transit facility. If you have any questions or require general information regarding bidding on this project, you can email infrastructureprocurement@bctransit.com. Questions Due Date: Jul 29th 2025, 11:30 PM PDT 1 Comply with project requirements for Construction Schedule. .2 Work is to commence on the Work Site by August, 2025. .3 Work is to be Substantially Complete by November 14 th, 2025. The Scope of the Work for the Contract shall include but not be limited to the following: .1 Replace one-to-one for all existing building light fixtures as indicated on drawings, c/w seismic bracing as required, locations. Locations and quantities of new light fixtures may require modifications to suit the intent of illumination level and uniformity specified in the contract documentation. Include for seismic/structural engineer under this contract to review all mounting methods; 1.1 For all pole mounted light fixtures, reuse existing poles and pole foundations unless specifically stated otherwise; .2 Adjust and modify existing lighting branch power circuiting to achieve safe and reliable operations for new light fixtures; 2.1 Reuse existing wiring and conduits where feasible 2.2 Verify conditions of existing lighting power branch circuit feeders during fixture replacement and replace feeders verified as defective with new; 2.2.1. Contractor to carry allowance for new wiring and conduit to replace existing as determined to be required; .3 Existing lighting controls system to remain. Intent is to reuse existing lighting control wiring, relays, and connections to existing lighting controls system for newly replaced light fixtures (include for replacement of any wiring and relays found to be deficient); 3.1. Existing lighting controls intent are all to remain the same. Program, test, and re-commission the new light fixtures to achieve a functional system. An ashrae 90.1-2019 controls intent table is provided for reference only, existing programming to take precedence; .4 Repair any surface/finishes damaged during removal/installation of existing and new light fixtures; .5 Remove and properly dispose of old light fixtures off site; .6 Submit all specified shop drawings to consultant for review/approval at start of construction stage; .7 Submit as-built drawings and three (3) hard copies and one (1) electronic O&M manuals to client. .8 Demobilization, final cleanup, and closeout documentation.
