Village Fire Station Renovation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: replacement of existing siding, roofing, windows, and trim. Other work includes interior renovation, new concrete apparatus slab, renovations to existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural framing. The Estimated Cost of the Work is $1,300,000 Each General Bid and Filed Sub-bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the Form of a Bid Bond, or Cash, or a Certified Check on, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's Check Issued by a Responsible Bank or Trust Company, Payable to the Town of Hull in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of Value of the Bid. Bid Deposits Will Be Dealt With as Provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44b. Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds in the Full Amount of the Contract Price Will Be Required From the Successful Bidder. The Awarding Authority Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All General Bids, if It Be in the Public Interest to Do So, and to Reject Any Sub-bid on Any Sub-trade if It Determines That Such Sub-bid Does Not Represent the Sub-bid of a Person Competent to Perform the Work as Specified or That Less Than Three Such Sub-bids Were Received and That the Prices Are Not Reasonable for Acceptance Without Further Competition.
