All bids must be received in a separate and sealed envelope or folder and clearly labeled STF Waterline Replacement Project and the contract number. The general description of the Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Contract One - General Construction: Work included in this contract will include but not necessarily be limited to installation of new waterline consisting of 6", 4", and 3" ductile iron pipe and 3" and 1.5" schedule 80 PVC pipe. This waterline installation includes all valves, fittings, fasteners, pipe supports, chlorine resistant coating, thrust blocking, wall penetrations, stairway/platform installation for pipe crossing, and any other appurtenances necessary for a complete installation. The CONTRACTOR will be responsible for verifying all measurements in the field, the OWNER will not be responsible for any dimensions on the drawings. Installation of an electric actuator on a 6" gate valve and two wet floor alarm pucks as shown on the drawings. The actuator is to be connected to a spare bucket in the existing MCC as shown on the drawings. The wet floor alarm pucks are to be connected to an existing PLC as shown on the drawings. These are to include all breakers, wiring, conduit, fittings, hangers, mounts, and any other appurtenances necessary for a complete installation. The CONTRACTOR is responsible to provide any other miscellaneous materials, equipment, and manpower necessary to provide a complete and fully operational installation. Complete redline drawings must be provided that accurately document the final installed product Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid which will be returned upon award of the Contracts. Pennsylvania Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates will apply to all work on this project. The person submitting the request will be held responsible for its prompt delivery at least seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of Bids. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of bids may not be answered.
