Services may include, but are not limited to the following tasks: o Environmental services such as the preparation and/or peer review of all types of environmental documents and other assignments (e.g., technical studies) as needed in accordance with CEQA. o Current Planning services such as zoning clearances, sign permits, processing of development applications, meeting with applicants, and presenting at hearings for a variety of project types. This includes the responsibility of keeping all project assignments on schedule within the time limits specified by State Law or local ordinance. o Performing required mining inspections and conducting financial assurance reviews of mines, meeting all requirements of County's Surface Mining and Reclamation Act of 1975 (SMARA) program. This includes support and technical support services related to mining operations such as preparing inspection reports using the most current state-approved inspection forms (MRRC-1, which can be found on the California Department of Conservation webpage). o Advance planning services such as policy development, ordinance amendments, general plan element updates, community engagement tasks, and presenting at hearings. o Developing and maintaining good working relationships with County's planning staff, and other County departments, other agencies, jurisdictions, and the public. o Provide all documents in Microsoft Word Document format or other format as requested. Responses to the RFP must be made according to the requirements set forth in this section, both for content and sequence. Failure to adhere to these requirements, or inclusion of conditions, limitations or misrepresentations in a response may be cause for rejection of the submittal. Use 8-1/2" x 11" sheets (fold outs are acceptable for charts, etc.). Type size must be large enough to be easily legible, but shall not be smaller than 10-point.
