The project is expected to be awarded on August 14th, 2025.** This item of work consists of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for constructing a reinforced shotcrete lining on the interior of the existing corrugated metal pipe culvert as shown and described on the drawings and in these specifications. The general scope of work is as follows a. Prepare a design for the shotcrete pipe liner. This liner must protect the existing corrugated metal pipes from further deterioration. This design must be submitted to the Engineer for review. Design must include polypropylene fibers. Shotcrete compressive strength shall be a minimum of 5000 psi. b. Contractor shall prepare test panels in accordance with ACI 506.2 and ASTM C1140. The Owner shall contract with a separate testing firm and test the panels in accordance with ACI 506.2. The Owner shall bear the cost of the testing firm. c. Providing and installing all equipment and following all procedures, rules. Regulations, laws, etc. as may be required for proper and safe entry into a confined space. d. Preparing the existing interior metal surfaces in accordance with the plans and specifications. e. Provide and install all equipment and materials as may be required to maintain storm water flow through the existing culvert. Questions received less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to bid date cannot be answered, in this case no later than Monday, July 28, 2025, by 2:30 P.M. Blue Ash 2025 Culvert Repairs Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Proposals must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. It is the intent and requirements of the Owner that this project shall be completed no later than November 21, 2025. When the total overall project exceeds $27,309 bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and the City of Blue Ash, Ohio, as ascertained and determined by the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services (OBES) as provided in Section 4115.05 through 4115.034 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. It is anticipated that the Prevailing Wage Law will apply to this project. The Council of the City of Blue Ash shall authorize acceptance of the bid made by the responsible bidder who, in Council's judgment, offers the best and most responsive proposal to the City, considering quality, service, performance record, and price; or Council may direct the rejection of all bids. The City may award based on "functional equivalence" concerning specified work or products. The Council of the City of Blue Ash, Ohio, reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
