A 5% bid security (bond or certified check) is required with each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid submissions when deemed in the best interest of the Town. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 &44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. cl49 &&26 to 27H inclusive. Permit fees will be waived by the Town of Norton. You may also stop by the Norton Fire Department Office at 70 East Main Street, Norton, MA 02766 between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Please note: there is a cost of $50.00 if you wish to pick up a hard copy of this bid package). Advanced Notice Required. Questions regarding the project specifications and details should be directed by email to Building Envelope Analysis, LLC. Attn: Stephen Healy at shealy@be-analysis.com no later than 5 business days prior to the bid due date. All bid responses will be received by 1:00 p.m. on August 18, 2025 . A payment bond, from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Owner in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful general bidder. All bids shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of General Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. Other opportunities to access the roof may be provided by prior arrangement with the Town of Norton Fire Department.
