General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Federally Funded - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % A certified check or bid bond for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal will be required with each bid. Technical questions shall be directed to Brian Yaw, City of Midland Assistant Facilities Manager at byaw@midland-mi.org. The scope includes the following: i. Project must be completed on or before June 30, 2026. ii. Construction Staking per the General Requirements of the Technical Specifications. iii. Site clearing, Earth Moving, and Excavation Support and Protection required to meet the proposed Demolition Plan Site Drawing and Earthwork Section of the Technical Specifications. iv. Exterior improvements to Asphalt Paving, Concrete Paving, Concrete Paving Joint Sealants, Turf and Grasses, and Utilities required to meet the proposed Site Layout drawing, the Soil Erosion and Sediment Control drawing and Exterior Improvements and Utilities sections of the Technical Specifications. v. Contractor is to include the estimated number of days with ground disturbance activities in bid submittal. vi. Contractor shall cease work immediately in the event that they encounter archaeological artifacts or similar items during excavation. a. An Archaeological Monitoring Consultant contracted to the City will be onsite during ground disturbances related to the installation, removal, replacement of asphalt, concrete, stone or soil. b. Costs related to work stoppages, protective measures, and coordination with monitoring personnel due to archaeological findings shall be considered incidental to the contract unless otherwise authorized in writing by the City *The City reserves the right to accept or reject all or any parts of any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to award in the best interests of the City of Midland.
