City of Douglas (City) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:West Douglas Utilities Expansion - State Route 80 181301800 The Project includes the following Work: A water main along the SR-80 route between Cochise College and a point of connection to the City's water distribution system at the City's Well 14, including a Pressure Reducing Valve at Kings Highway (SR 80and N Copper Avenue). A wastewater collection system between Kings Highway and the northwest corner of the intersection of SR 80 and N Copper Avenue. Alternative 1 includes extending the wastewater collection system from Kings Highway to Cochise College along the SR-80 route. Alternative 2 is for the installation Broadband along the SR-80 route from Cochise College to SR-191. In a future project, the pipe will be extended across White Water Draw and connect to the City system generally in the area of SR 80 and US 191. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated inthe Bid Form. Contract No.1 Description of Contract West Douglas Utilities Expansion - State Route 80, General Construction The City anticipates that the Project's total base bid price will be approximately $20.2M, and the base bid plus two alternatives will be approximately $27.2M. The Project has an expected duration of 411 days.Obtaining the Bidding Documents The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
